With the addition of Business Insurance to our product suite in 2005, broker business was given a boost. Since then, we have continued to grow and maintain a robust broker network. The Diepsloot Foundation is a Section 21 Company focusing on the empowerment and upliftment of the Diepsloot community through various educational, artisanal skills, enterprise- and supplier development programmes.

Dieplsloot Food Security Programme

A social enterprise that provides Diepsloot residents with the necessary infrastructure, training and support to start and manage micro agri-businesses. In 2021 the initiative provided 61 954 meals to 2 180 children in ECD centres within Diepsloot.

Leap Science and Maths Schools

LEAP provides student-centred Maths and Science-focused education to economically disadvantaged students from grades 8 to 12. In January 2022, LEAP celebrated brilliant grade 12 results with a 100% pass rate in the NSC examinations.

The OLICO Maths Foundation

Auto & General’s grant facilitates maths clubs that are designed to improve the core strands of maths proficiency: procedural fluency, conceptual understanding, problem-solving, reasoning and disposition toward maths.

67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day

Launched by Carolyn Steyn, 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day is a “Knitting Revolution for Nelson Mandela” that has become an integral part of the employee volunteering culture at Auto & General, pledging to keep thousands of people less fortunate than ourselves warmer in winter.
