Failed Bank List

Failed Bank Information for Almena State Bank, Almena, KS

On Friday, October 23, 2020, Almena State Bank was closed by the Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner. The FDIC was named Receiver. Equity Bank, Andover, KS acquired all deposit accounts and substantially all the assets. All shares of stock were owned by the holding company, which was not involved in this transaction.

The FDIC as Receiver for Almena State Bank, Almena, KS has taken all actions necessary to terminate the Receivership Estate. The Receiver published a legal notice of intent to terminate the receivership on September 27, 2023 and has made all dividend distributions required by law.

Effective April 1, 2024, the Receiver was discharged and the Receivership Estate was terminated and ceased existence as a legal entity.

Receivership Status: TERMINATED
