Welcome to SGYC

Enjoy our modern clubhouse with an awesome view, docks, heated pool, spa, dining room, bar, barbecue, library, fireplaces, dinghy racks, dry storage, crane hoist, pump out station, and so much more.

SGYC has Racing, Cruising, Fishing, Powering, and V32 Fleets or you can enjoy activities with music, dancing, banquets, fun and fitness, Silver Strings, Silver Wheelers, dock parties, holiday celebrations, and Jr Sailing.

Junior Sailing provides full day sailing instruction and fun at SGYC for young sailors from 8 to 16 years of age; No experience necessary. Use of our boats is included!

For over 60 years the Silver Gate Yacht Club has built a proud history of bringing boaters together for friendship, camaraderie and to continue its long tradition of giving back to the community.

Silver Gate Yacht Club members represent a rich cross-section of sailors,  power boaters,  fisherman,  racers and all who love being on the water and building friendships and socializing with others who do.

We also bring our love of the water to the San Diego community through two signature annual charitable events – the Wheelchair Regatta and the Schooner Cup plus offering an extensive Junior Sailing Program.
