Comprehensive Car Insurance covers accidental loss or damage to your car, caused by insured events like driving accidents, theft or malicious damage, hail, storms, or fire.

Third Party Car Insurance covers liability caused by accidental damage to someone else’s car or property caused by the use of your car.

You have the freedom to include any or all optional extras when you get a quote, mid-policy term or at renewal - not available for Third Party insurance. Just remember, any optional extra must be added to your car insurance policy before an event that may lead to a claim.

There are three main types of car insurance: Comprehensive Car Insurance, Third Party Car Insurance and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance – also known as greenslip insurance in NSW.

Bingle offers two types of car insurance:

Bingle does not offer CTP insurance, which covers your liability to pay compensation for injuries to other people. If you need CTP insurance, get in touch with AAMI, Apia or GIO – also part of the Suncorp Network – for more information. 

Bingle is an online-only insurer meaning we don't operate costly call centres, which helps keep our insurance premiums low. Our online My Account puts you in control. You can change almost anything from listed drivers to updating your payment or contact details and more.

Market value means the amount that the market would pay for the car. It includes many factors such as your car's:

Market value excludes costs of rego, Compulsory Third Party insurance and any stamp duty, transfer fees, dealer warranty costs and dealer delivery.

Depending on the age of your car and your policy cover, you may be able to use our New for Old option.

Bingle covers learner drivers – those on their Ls or L plates. Learner drivers don’t need to be listed on the policy. You just need to have a listed driver in the car while the learner is driving. Having a listed driver in the car will avoid the unlisted driver excess.
