esure Car Insurance - Defaqto 5 Star Rated Car Insurance

Purchase a Defaqto five-star rated car insurance policy, make savings thanks to our great esure cashback deals and have your motoring needs met by the services you will receive. As well as access to a 24/7 accident helpline, the cover includes a courtesy car as standard when you use one of their recommended repairers, while any work carried out by a recommended repairer will be guaranteed for five years.

Drivers will also receive unlimited legal liability cover for death or injury to other people, windscreen cover, access to a motoring legal advice line and cover for loss or damage to permanently fitted electronic equipment. Esure will, subject to eligibility, also insure the policyholder for driving other cars.

Multicar Cover

If you and a partner live at the same address and have two or more cars between you, you could save save money by insuring them on an esure multicar policy. As well as getting up to 10% off each additional policy, there are a range of other benefits you can enjoy too. The fact that they will match your no claim discount means that if you have a higher no claim discount bonus with one care, they will match it to the other policy, though any resulting increase will be restricted to the number of years the driver has held a full UK license.

There is also no need to worry if your partner's insurance is not up for renewal as, so long as their details do not change, they can give you a quote and guarantee it for up to six months. Also, if a claim is made on one policy, it will not affect the no claim discount on the other as they are kept separate.

Esure Features & Optional Extras

For an additional cost, you can opt to add one of their extensive range of breakdown cover products provided by their partner, Green Flag.

Choose to include a breakdown cover option and it will give you access to a network of Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) technicians, who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Roadside assistance includes an hour of labour, while if you are more than a quarter of a mile from your home, your vehicle will be towed to the nearest garage or a destination of your choice, within 10 miles, if it cannot be repaired at the roadside. You can choose to add roadside assistance or home rescue and recovery, while you can also take out cover for any car driven by you or your partner.

With car hire benefit, esure will provide you with a rental car similar in size to yours if it is stolen and not recovered or they agree that it is a total loss.

You will receive your hire car by the end of the next working day and you can make use of it for up to 21 days while they process your claim. The car hire cover is for all named drivers on your policy and they can collect you from your home or place of work if you need them to when picking up the courtesy car.

Should you damage or lose your keys, or if they are stolen, and you have taken out key cover, Green Flag will either take care of you.

Green Flag will take you home to get your spare, retrieve your keys if they are accidentally locked in your car or replace the keys and reset the alarm/immobiliser or replace the lock if your key breaks inside it and it is not retrievable. If the situation results in you not being able to get back on the road the same day, meanwhile, they will provide overnight hotel accommodation for you and up to eight passengers, up to the value of £200, in necessary circumstances.

In the unfortunate event that you put the wrong type of fuel in your car, Green Flag will be able to get you back on the road swiftly if you have taken out misfuelling cover.

What's more, esure will pay for or reimburse you for taking you, your car and up to eight passengers to the nearest suitable garage within Green Flag's network, as well as the costs incurred to drain and clean your car's fuel system, put 10 litres of fuel in your tank (unless the damage is part of an accidental damage claim) and hire a car to enable you to complete your journey - up to £150. What's more, they will also give you £25 worth of fuel on the presentation of a receipt.

If you need to make a claim, you should call the claims helpline as soon as possible after being involved in the accident.

They will ask you for your registration number, the location of the accident and the name, address and telephone number of anyone involved in the accident or witnesses, as well as the registration number of any vehicle involved in the accident. You should still call them immediately after an accident even if you do not have all of this information to hand as they will guide you through the claims process and support you in any way they can.

Once you have registered your claim, esure will arrange for the recovery of your vehicle and any repair work which needs to be carried out by one of their recommended repairers.

One of the optional extras you can boost your cover with is motor legal protection, which will help you get back some of the uninsured losses should you be involved in an accident which was wholly or partly the fault of the other driver.

They will also pay up to £100,000 (including VAT) towards legal costs should your or their solicitor decide it is worth pursuing court action. This includes recovering the cost of other things not typically covered by standard insurance policies, including loss of earnings, alternative travel arrangements and personal injury compensation.
