About Me

I’ve wanted to be a pediatrician since I was an adolescent. My goal is to foster a respectful and trusting partnership with patients and parents. As a pediatrician, I play many different roles – teacher, learner, diagnostician, coordinator, cheerleader – in order to help my patients and families be as happy and healthy as possible. I have particular interests in infant and early childhood development, rashes and skin problems, and forward-thinking preventive care, such as vaccines, dental hygiene, and safety. The best parts of my day are when I can make a scared child smile, can ease the fears of new parents, or have a patient proudly tell me about the positive changes they’ve made since our last visit. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy hiking and golfing, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to working with you and your family!

The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to care provider related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Learn more about our survey process. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
