Student Health Nurse

The Student Health Nurse Office is located on the bottom level of the Student Union.

Location: Student Union, Lower Level, next to Athletic Training. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-1:30pm (unless otherwise posted).

Cost: Free to CCC students.

What You Should Know....

Medical insurance is recommended for any referrals to doctors or visits to the emergency room or hospital while attending CCC. Parents who carry medical insurance on their student may do so as long as they are 26 or younger according to the provisions of the 2010 Health Reform Bill. Students should keep a copy of or a duplicate insurance card with them while here at CCC in case of medical emergency. Students should also have available the phone number of the family physician from home as well as the phone numbers of their parents work and home. A doctor’s visit can cost up to $100 not including any tests or medication and most doctors will not see a patient unless they have the cash up front.

Emergency rooms can not turn a patient away, but can be very costly to use if not an actual emergency.

An urgent care clinic is located in Coffeyville at 209 W 7th Street (Facebook Link to urgent care clinic).

Students with a major medical history such as epilepsy, diabetes, heart problems, etc., should carry a medical information card or wear a medical ID that identifies such illness.
