Bodiford-White Insurance began in 1967 in Selmer, Tennessee as Bodiford Insurance, owned and operated by Ray Bodiford. The name of the agency changed to Bodiford-White in 1995 when a partnership was formed between Richie Bodiford of Bodiford Insurance and Larry White of White & Associates Insurance Agency.

Bodiford-White is proud to be a multi-line independent agency serving customers in McNairy County and the surrounding areas. Richie’s father started Bodiford Insurance Agency in Selmer over 50 years ago. Richie followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the agency in 1987. He has been partnered with W&A for more than 20 years and says the best thing about the insurance business is being able to make a living by helping others. Richie and his wife, Lorrie, love to cheer on their daughter, Chelsea, who played basketball at Union University and is now pursuing a graduate degree. He enjoys raising horses and spending time with his friends and family.

Fun Facts If someone made a movie of your life, who would you want to play you? Kevin Costner What is your favorite memory from high school?   Being apart of the first McNairy Central Basketball team to go to the state playoffs! What song is stuck in your head right now? The theme song from Frozen. We care for a foster child from our church two-three times a week. Frozen is her absolute favorite… Quirkiest thing about you that most people don’t know? I only have one kidney. How did you meet your wife? At a basketball game in high school. Gutsiest thing you’ve ever done? I rescued two women and a man from drowning in a riptide in Cancun, Mexico in 1995. Don’t know if I could pull that off again now!

Dena has worked at White & Associates, Bodiford-White Insurance Agency for over 10 years and has been in the insurance industry since 1985! Dena likes that insurance allows her to opportunity to meet and talk with lots of new people and that no two days are ever the same. Dena enjoys getting to spend time with her two children, Brandi and Derek, and their spouses Bridget and Thomas. She loves jogging, working in her yard and going to the beach every chance she can get. Dena also enjoys running the café snack bar and arranging dinners at her church.

Fun Facts What song is stuck in your head right now? My Redeemer Lives If you could have a dinner party and invite 5 people (famous or not), who would you invite? The single ladies group at church. We like to take opportunities to fellowship with each other whenever we can. Scariest movie you’ve ever seen?   Texas Chainsaw Massacre…still have images of that movie! Quirkiest thing about you that most people don’t know?   I am a very early riser and like to run at 4-4:30 in the morning. What was your biggest cooking/baking flop? Cooking gluten free biscuits. I cannot get them to rise or taste anything close to a real biscuit.

Austin Cavaness joined Bodiford-White Insurance in April of 2022. He comes to W&A with prior insurance experience and his L&H license. Austin lived in Dyersburg before moving to Henderson in 2001. He graduated from Chester County High School where he played football and basketball. He has a Business Administration degree from University of Memphis. Austin and his wife, Chelsea, married on April 3, 2021. They have an Australian Shephard named, Sadie, and attend Foote Street Church in Corinth, MS.
