Welcome to the Kane County Recorder’s website! We wish to extend our invitation to the public to come in and see us. Our office houses quite an array of services from our Recording Department, the Copy Center, Scanning, Data Entry, and last but not least, our Tract Department. On behalf of the office, we can schedule tours of our operations and would love to show you around. If you would like to use our search program – feel free! We currently have 6 computers with 22″ flat screen monitors for your viewing pleasure.

The Recorder’s Office is proud to present access to the county’s land records. The public now has access to thousands of land records via the Internet.

The Kane County Recorder’s Office receives original property instruments and is responsible for recording these important documents in the county’s permanent archive of land titles and ownership records.

Located in the Kane County Government Center, the Recorder’s research area is open each weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.(we stop recording plats at 3:00 p.m. and documents at 4:15 p.m.) except on posted holidays. The general public, as well as professional title searchers, are welcome to freely search the property records which date back to 1837.
