TennCare is a program providing health insurance to people who are eligible for Medicaid and to certain other people who lack access to insurance. They receive covered dental services through a Dental Benefits Manager and covered pharmacy services through the state's Pharmacy Benefits Manager. To be eligible for Tennessee Medicaid, you must be a resident of the state of Tennessee, a U.S. national, citizen, permanent resident, or legal alien, in need of health care/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low income or very low income.
