Build a healthy future for you and your baby and earn great rewards with Healthy First Steps. Our program will help you take the right steps to keep you and your baby healthy. Plus you can earn $20 just for signing up.

This plan pays for expenses related to a hospital stay, so you can rest and heal.

Do you know about the Affordable Connectivity Program? It’s a new program that helps pay for high-speed internet.  You can use the internet for work, school, healthcare, and more. What do you get with this program?  You may get up to $30 per month off your internet bills.  There is also a one-time $100 discount off a laptop, tablet, or computer. Who can get this program?  Any household that has at least one person enrolled in Medicaid.  How do you get this program?  You must enroll to get it.  Go online to getinternet.gov and enroll today.

Your doctor and you need to understand each other. Not speaking English well makes this difficult. We can arrange for a medical interpreter to be at your appointments.

Emergency Crisis Service A team of counselors helps members obtain emergency care 24 hours a day. Simply call 1-800-867-6758 (TTY/TDD hearing impaired 1-800-486-7914).

If a member has a mental health or substance abuse emergency, call United Behavioral Health right away. United Behavioral Health will help guide him or her to the best care for the situation. With an emergency admission, call United Behavioral Health for authorization within 24 hours of admission.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Crisis Information

Need help with a mental health problem? Need help with a drug or alcohol abuse problem? TennCare members who live in Middle Tennessee can get behavioral health services. These are for people who have a mental health problem. They are also for people who have a substance abuse problem. We can help you deal with troubles in your family or job. Or if you are just unhappy, we can help. We can also help you or someone you love with a drug or alcohol problem.

How Do I Get Help?

Call 1-800-690-1606 (TTY/TDD hearing impaired 711) for help. We will find a doctor who can help you the best. This process is called “authorization.” It allows you to get help quickly and easily. The Tennessee REDLINE is available to provide accurate, up-to-date alcohol, drug, problem gambling, and other addiction information and referrals to all citizens of Tennessee at their request. The toll-free number is 1-800-889- 9789. You may also visit the liveandworkwell.com. It can help you make the most of your life. Note: Before you receive services, you must call 1-800-690-1606 (TTY/TDD hearing impaired 711). All services must be authorized.

Safe at Home Address Confidentiality Program

The Safe at Home Address Confidentiality Program is a new statewide address confidentiality program administered by the Office of the Tennessee Secretary of State. The Safe at Home Program is open to all victims of domestic abuse, stalking, human trafficking, rape, sexual battery, or any other sexual offense who satisfy eligibility and application requirements at no cost.

Plans are insured through UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company or one of its affiliated companies, a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract and a contract with the State Medicaid Program. UnitedHealthcare Senior Care Options (HMO SNP) plan

UnitedHealthcare Senior Care Options (SCO) is a Coordinated Care plan with a Medicare contract and a contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Medicaid program. Enrollment in the plan depends on the plan’s contract renewal with Medicare. This plan is a voluntary program that is available to anyone 65 and older who qualifies for MassHealth Standard and Original Medicare and does not have any other comprehensive health Insurance, except Medicare. If you have MassHealth Standard, but you do not qualify for Original Medicare, you may still be eligible to enroll in our MassHealth Senior Care Option plan and receive all of your MassHealth benefits through our Senior Care Options (SCO) program.

American Disabilities Act notice

In accordance with the requirements of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 ("ADA"), UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company provides full and equal access to covered services and does not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

Referrals

Network providers help you and your covered family members get the care needed. Access to specialists may be coordinated by your primary care physician.

Paper directory requests

Paper copies of the network provider directory are available at no cost to members by calling the customer service number on the back of your ID card. Non-members may download and print search results from the online directory.

Inaccurate information

To report incorrect information, email provider_directory_invalid_issues@uhc.com. This email box is for members to report potential inaccuracies for demographic (address, phone, etc.) information in the online or paper directories. Reporting issues via this mail box will result in an outreach to the provider’s office to verify all directory demographic data, which can take approximately 30 days. Individuals can also report potential inaccuracies via phone. UnitedHealthcare Members should call the number on the back of their ID card, and non-UnitedHealthcare members can call 1-888-638-6613 / TTY 711, or use your preferred relay service.

Declaration of disaster or emergency

If you’re affected by a disaster or emergency declaration by the President or a governor, or an announcement of a public health emergency by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, there is certain additional support available to you.

If CMS hasn’t provided an end date for the disaster or emergency, plans will resume normal operation 30 days after the initial declaration.
