Georgiana E. Bolen

KENOSHA -Ge 6019 - Georgiana E. Bolen KENOSHA -Georgiana E. Bolen, 84, died Friday, November 23, 2001, at her residence. Born on July 20, 1917, in Racine, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Rose (nee: Smrha) Navratil. She attended school in Racine and graduated from Horlick High School. She worked as a Supervisor for John Hancock Life Insurance Company for 30 years until her retirement on February 1, 1978. She moved to Kenosha in 1967, and had resided here until there until the time of her death. Preceding her in death were two brothers, William and James Navratil. Funeral services for Georgiana E. Raymond J Gugin

RACINE - Raymond J. Gugin, 76, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center on Saturday, November 24, 2001. Raymond was born in Clark Township, Mich. on August 30, 1925, to Roy and May (nee: Robinson) Gugin. He married the former Hazel McNeish. Raymond served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from Norberg Manufacturing after 31 years. Survivors included his wife, Hazel Gugin; he was a loving step-father to his 8 step-children, Diane, Tina, Debbie, Doug, Hilton (Dawn), Patty, Russ (Barbara) , and Val; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Bertha. Raymond is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister and a brother. Private family services will be held. R Robert Houston

SUN CITY CENTER, FLA - R. Robert Houston, 79, died on Sunday, November 18, 2001. He was born in Kenosha and moved to Sun City Center, Fla. in 1989. Mr. Houston was a Senior partner with Houston and Naegeli, S.C., C.P.A.s and a United States Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the Emergency Squad of Sun City Center, a AARP Tax Aid, and 40 Year Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is survived by his wife, Grace Houston of Sun City Center, Fla.; sons, Thomas Robert Houston of Neenah, Jerome Allen Houston of Minneapolis, Minn., Daniel Lee Houston of Mercer; daughter, Carol Marie Kierzyk of Wheaton, Ill.; grandchildren, Jonathan and Taylor Houston, Regina, Jacqueline and Craig Houston, and Kathryn and Kyle Kierzyk; and sisters, Bettie Bischoff of Harlingen, Texas and Clarice Hoff of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Houston of Kansas City, Mo. and his sister, Jean Staude of Kenosha. A Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha on Sunday, December 1, 2001, at 2 p.m. Interment will be private. Rebecca H Kelly

RACINE - Rebecca H. (nee: Hill) Kelly, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2001. Becky was born in Abbeville, S.C., November 14, 1923, daughter of the late Fred S. and Flora L. (nee: Smith) Hill. On May 18, 1942, she was united in marriage to John W. Kelly who preceded her in death, September 17, 1969. Becky was employed for 15 years by North Shore Bank, retiring in 1988. She was a former member of St. Rita's Catholic Church and member of St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Survivors include her four children, John W. (Betsy) Kelly II of Rockville, Md., Richard V. Kelly of Atlanta, Ga., Maureen A. (Paul G.) Bishop of Libertyville, Ill., Gael Kelly (David) Deering of Madison; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three brothers, Fred S. Hill of Atlanta, Ga., Harry H. (Polly) Hill of N.C., Perrin S. Hill of Atlanta, Ga.; sister-in-law, Kathleen Penney of Titusville, Fla.; dear friend, Lucien Osborne of Racine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, Friday, November 30, 2001, 10 a.m. with Rev. Joseph G. Stobba OSA officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, November 29th from 4 until 7 p.m. Memorials to Friends of the Wind Point Lighthouse have been suggested by the family. RACINE - Carolee La Fever, 61, formerly of Somers, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Thursday, November 22, 2001. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at 11 a.m with Rev. Randal K. Poppe officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. FRANKSVILLE - George L. Thomas, 67, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2001, at the Milwaukee Hospice Home. RACINE - Richard Jerome 'Dick' Van Dyke, 87, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Medical Center on Saturday, November 24, 2001. WASHINGTON D.C - Michael L. Watkins, 50, formerly of Racine, passed away unexpectedly at his residence from a massive heart attack on Tuesday, October 30, 2001. Michael Watkins was a native of Racine also lived in Milwaukee and a graduate of University of Wisconsin. He was a teacher in Milwaukee before moving to Washington, D.C. in 1975, to study law at American University He was a former Communication Manager for Telco Communication Group. Also former Vice President of Calvert Group Investment Firm, Investment Relations. He was also a member of board of the Carl Vogel, Foundation. Survivors include his mother, Pacita Watkins of Racine; a sister, Connie; and three brothers, Harlan, Mark, and Warren. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick Church, 1100 Erie Street, on Saturday, December 1, 2001, at 11:30 a.m.
