Dr. Evans is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association.
As an AVMA member, Dr. Evans enjoys being involved in organized veterinary medicine and she is currently serving on the board of the Women's Leadership Development Initiative (WVLDI) which helps train and recruit female veterinarians into leadership positions.
She served on the AVMA Political Action Committee (PAC) Board from 2013-2019, including as Chairwoman for two years.
Dr. Evans also serves on the Scholarship and Awards Committee with the AVMF evaluating scholarship applications from veterinary students. she enjoys interacting with students and mentoring.
In her spare time, Dr. Evans enjoys traveling, skiing, SCUBA diving, wine tasting, reading and playing with her Boston Terriers. She is also a regular at her gym which includes strength, mobility, gymnastics, MetCon and CrossFit classes as well as Olympic weightlifting.
