Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants Preview

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants come into Sunday’s game in similar positions. Both the Giants and the Cowboys have struggled in every game they have competed in this season. However, the bright spot for the Giants has been the defense and the bright spot for the Cowboys has been the offense. Plenty of storylines are going into this football game and we will discuss several of those in this article.

The first thing fans are going to take notice of is that Jason Garrett is back in Dallas as the offensive coordinator for the Giants. Meanwhile for Garrett, the offense is a source of a headache for him as he attempts to improve the Giants offense. New York is last in the NFL in scoring offense at 11.8 points per game and last in total offense at 278without  yards per game. A trip to Dallas could be a cure for the NFL’s worst offense.

New York’s defense will cause the Cowboys’ offense some trouble. Dallas is starting left tackle Tyron Smith. Quarterback Dak Prescott will need to get rid of the football quickly. The Dallas offense has turned the ball over with an odd consistency. Dallas leads the league in turnovers and is going to have to cut the number of turnovers. The Dallas defense is far too generous in terms of allowing the opposing offense to score.

Players to watch this weekend for the Cowboys are who we are going to turn our attention to. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been keeping the Cowboys in the games. He has led impressive comebacks against the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons. Getting the ground game and Ezekiel Elliott going would help the Cowboys control the clock. Dallas is going to give up points, so Cowboys’ fans should expect to be in another shootout. From this point it is difficult to predict what is going to happen on Sunday the NFC east is terrible.
