What is Pet Insurance?

Veterinary treatments are advancing—saving more pet lives. However, accessing those treatments can be cost prohibitive on a tight household budget. Pet medical insurance helps reduce financial stress when choosing the best available veterinary care for your dog or cat.

For a small monthly premium—based on the age, breed, location, and plan options—your pet’s medical expenses due to new illnesses or injuries may be reimbursed back to you up to 100%. Once you’ve decided on a pet insurance plan and completed any applicable waiting periods, simply submit your paid-in-full veterinary bill via your mobile device. What isn’t covered by Pet Insurance?

Most pet insurance companies will not cover pre-existing conditions, or those conditions that show signs or symptoms prior to the policy effective date or during any applicable waiting periods.
