Dear Friends of United Agency,

I’m writing to share some exciting news that marks a new chapter for our agency. I’m pleased to announce that effective January 1st, United Agency will be joining Insurance Center, Inc. (ICI).

Rest assured, our office in Arkansas City will remain open for business. Although our logo and email addresses will eventually change, you will continue to work with the same people you know and trust. Our goal is to make this a seamless transition for all our policyholders.

Like United Agency, ICI has Kansas roots dating back more than one hundred years. They currently operate eight locations across the state. They take pride in their culture, and their values align with ours. ICI believes that building relationships is the most important thing they do. I am confident that joining ICI will only expand the resources and expertise we provide to our valued clients.

I am honored to have been the leader of United Agency for the last 13 years. I’d like to express my sincere gratitude for your unwavering support over the years. Your trust and loyalty have been the cornerstone of our success, and I am truly thankful for the relationships we have built together. ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. – United Agency LLC, an independent insurance agency located in Ark City, KS has announced they will join El Dorado-based Insurance Center, Inc. (ICI), effective December 31st, 2023.

“I’m very excited to be joining ICI. While there are a lot of buyers for insurance agencies in the market, we weren’t interested in simply selling to the highest bidder,” says Kevin Campbell, CEO of United Agency. “ICI’s team, culture, history, and relationship-based approach with their clients is virtually identical to the way we’ve approached business in Cowley County for decades. Ryan and I have very similar views on the importance of local businesses and their responsibility to support community development. ICI is the perfect partner to ensure our ability to continue providing quality risk management services to our existing clients as well as the next generation.”

“There are a lot of similarities in our organizations,” says Ryan Murry, President & CEO of ICI. “We serve a lot of the same types of clients and industries, and we represent many of the same insurance carriers. We also appreciate that United Agency has been in Ark City for over 100 years.”

United Agency will continue to operate at their existing location. “We don’t intend to make many changes,” says Murry. “While the logo and the email addresses will eventually change, the people will remain the same. We hope to make this transition as easy as possible for our clients.”

ICI and United Agency are both members of Combined Agents of America (CAA), a $2.5 billion network of privately held, independent insurance agencies. With the addition of Arkansas City, ICI now owns and operates nine locations across Kansas. ICI employs a team of 70 people and has an annual premium volume of almost $80 million. They provide commercial property and casualty insurance, personal insurance, and employee benefits to clients across the United States. ICI offers expertise in many different industries, including construction, transportation, oil and gas, healthcare, senior living, manufacturing, education, and public entities.
