Review Insurance Requirements

All students, faculty, and staff traveling for University purposes are required to obtain international health, security, medical, and evacuation insurance approved by the University’s Office of Risk Management.  

The University of Minnesota provides this mandatory international insurance coverage through On Call International. Coverage is obtained through the travel registration process.

New provider for international medical insurance and emergency support

As of October 15, the University of Minnesota has a new provider—On Call International—for international medical insurance and emergency support services for University-purpose travel outside the U.S. As a result, there are several significant changes and exciting upgrades that University travelers should be aware of.
