About: The program helps victims with certain out-of-pocket expenses related to injuries from violent crime. The program pays for crime-related expenses such as medical care, counseling, lost wages, and funeral expenses (when costs are not covered by insurance or other sources). The program can also pay for crime-scene clean-up, replacement of clothing held as evidence, replacement of security items, child or dependent care, housing/shelter expenses, relocation expenses and travel.

About: IPONDA is a free, confidential and anonymous information and notification system that tracks the service and expiration of a protective order. IPONDA uses computer and telephone technology to automatically notify petitioners when their protective order has been served on the respondent and 30 days prior to protective order or no-contact order expiration. You can register to receive telephone and/or email notifications from IPONDA on your protective order or no contact order. For information or to register, call the IPONDA toll-free line at 1-888-7-IAVINE (1-888-742-8463), or go to www.registervpo.com . Once a protective order is served or about to expire, IPONDA will automatically call or email you at the number or address provided.

About: Iowa Victim Information & Notification Everyday (IowaVINE) is a free and anonymous telephone service that provides victims of crime an information and notification system that tracks criminals who have been arrested by law enforcement or convicted by the justice system. Victims of crime and the general public can use IowaVINE for access to timely and reliable information about the custody status of an offender. Victims can receive automated notification by telephone, the Internet, or email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. By telephone, victims can always contact a live operator at 1-888-7-IAVINE (1-888-742-8463) who is trained in victim services. You can also go to www.vinelink.com  to get offender custody status and location information online.  

Safe At Home

About:  Safe At Home is a program of the Iowa Secretary of State for Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking, and other violent crimes. This allows victims to have a substitute address, mail forwarding service, confidential voter registration and absentee voting. The participant’s first-class, legal, certified mail, prescriptions and government packages arrive at a substitute address and are then forwarded to the victim’s confidential address.
